This 31-year old female from Mahomet, near the Champaign-Urbana area, happily-married mother of two, sought consultation due to lack of volume in the upper portion of her breasts. At 5'3" and 120 pounds, she knew she was at her normal weight; however, she was afraid of looking top heavy due to her short stature. During her consultation we discussed the benefits of both saline and silicone prostheses and mutually agreed to proceed with a breast augmentation using saline smooth prostheses of 300cc to be placed underneath the muscle.

Her concern during consultation was that her right breast was smaller than the left breast. We corrected her size difference by placing 30cc more saline in the right prosthesis than in the left prosthesis. She was also concerned about the droopiness of both breasts and was reassured that an augmentation by itself would be able to correct her insipient droopiness.

She underwent breast augmentation in our fully-accredited surgical suite in Champaign, Illinois. She experienced 3-4 days of discomfort. She was delighted to find that the procedure corrected the flatness of her upper breasts with what she considered a very youthful fullness of her breasts – in her words, “perky as they once were.” She is very happy that the volume that she selected gives her a figure that is well proportioned without making her look top heavy.

She finds herself more willing to participate in summer sports. Before and after pictures show correction of the flatness of the upper segment with symmetry of both breasts.
